Ramin AzarBorn in 1982, Tehran, Iran. He obtained a diploma in mathematics at the age of 18. From 2001 to 2005 he studied his B.Sc. in Mining Engineering in Bafq Azad University located in Yazd province of Iran. After the bachelor, he moved to Kuala Lumpur in order to continue his studies in University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS), (2006-2008). From 2008 he started working in Rahyab Sys Co. focusing on navigation network design. In 2012 he moved to Milan in order to continue his studies in PhD of Remote Sensing in Politenico di Milano. Early on, March 2012, he started his research for PhD in National Research Center - Institute for Electromagnetic Sensing of Environment (CNR-IREA), the 6th top research center in the relevant field, and soon he won a position as a fellow researcher. he finished his PhD in March 2015 and continued his position in CNR-IREA till March 2017 and moved to Canada, BC.
In 2011 he was selected as aspiring astronaut for Mars-One project but he did not make it to Mars100 list. As work experience he has changed many jobs and careers when he was young, teaching English in various institutes, translating and interpretation for public and private sectors, and working in trade business for a while. Finally he found his path in serving the blue marble, this pale blue dot, planet Earth as an Environmental Engineer. |
